Visualization enhances sporting performance

Most people have one particular sport that they love playing or like watch and are passionate about. Thousands of sports games can be found over the world.

Sorts have become part of our life and for athlets that actually perform day to day a sport game it becomes a form of life and a way to live. One of the techniques that some coaches use enhance the performance of their team is to use visualization techniques.

Its not uncommon for a team to get together before a game, say a few motivational words for the team and make a pray. Some of the motivational words that a coach say becomes a visualization technique, when the coach is talking to the team and painting a picture in the mind of them of how they are going to achieve the goal and feel the success.

Once the coach have said those words the team becomes to focused and concentrated in achieving the goal painted in their minds that they performance in the field is oustanding.

These kind of visualization techniques are also use for different kind of sports like running athlets, they visualize the finish line before they even begin. Those athlets that concentrate in the finish line and not in the opponent are the ones who win.

Another great example of visualization success is in basketball. Michael Jordan used this technique to paint in his mind what the path of the ball have to be to get in hole. And he did not just in court but before the game even start in trainings, either conscious or unconscious.

We could find many more examples of how visualization enhance sports performance, however the most important thing that you have to know is that you can do it too. Use the power of your mind to imaging time and time again how you wan to achieve your goals.

The next time you go to a sports game and you will have to give your best, visualize how you are wining and how you shot the ball before the game starts. Before you kick the ball think of what path you want the ball to have.
